A Letter written on Dec 20, 1936

Sunday

Dear Bessie:-

Your birthday has come again. My! how quickly the years have passed. You are a young lady and it only seemed, that it was yesterday when you were a wee baby.

How are all of you? I hope very well. I have meant to write your mother but I seem to keep awfully busy all the time. Give her my very best love.

I hope Bessie that you will all have a lovely Xmas.

I am going to be with my sister who is quite ill in Newark in the Presbyterian Hospital - she fell and hurt herself so badly they had to take her to the hospital yesterday and operate on her, but she is getting along quite nicely & we hope she will be all right very soon.

How is school?

I hope to see you one of these days -

Have a nice Xmas and a much better birthday because that day is your very own.

The little check is for you to get some little thing which you might like. [no longer with the letter]

My very best wishes for you all for Xmas

Lovingly
Aunt Emma
