Dear Bessie:-

I believe you have a birthday on Sunday - and I know you must be looking forward to that big day - so I am sending you a little remembrance for that day and for Christmas. [no longer with the letter]

I know I should go shopping and get you something and send it in a package - for I know how much young ladies like to open packages, but I am such a busy Auntie you will have to excuse me.

I have just had my mother with me for six weeks and we had a lovely visit to-gether.

Remember me kindly to your mother and daddy - and tell them wish you all "A Lovely Xmas" -
