Dear Mama & Papa,

I was so glad to hear from you last night. It put my mind at rest. This certainly was a bad storm. It said in the Tribune this morning that part of the fire alarm system in the Bronx is out of order. It really has to be pretty bad to put N.Y. out of commission that way. We had a lot of fun playing bridge last night. I was playing with that Jewish group I told you about. Did you get home all right?

The snow is melting quite a bit here today. I have invited a last year Pearsonite to dinner. She is in my Gym class & we have been playing Badminton together.

Would you please send the Lux & the bathrobe on when you have a minute. Also when some filthy lucre comes your way which you can't find an awfully good use for, you[r] child has some rather pressing obligations.

I enclose the note. [no longer with the letter] Please look at the date as you sign it.

Love,
Bessie
