Dear little Girl:-

Just a line to tell you that Dorothy Calvert graduates this Sunday, Jan. 8 - so I thought you would probably want to send her a graduation card - or congratulation card. It will please her father and Dot too.

I am enclosing clipping - from to-day's paper. Jean Wilcox is a niece of Mrs. Valentine. She died this afternoon. She lived with her grandmother - Mrs. Wilcox - who made me the pillow to match the patch-work-quilt. The accident happened at 12-o'clock - or earlier - not 1.15 AM. They don't know how long she lay in the road. I haven't heard the particulars. Mrs. Valentine and the family were at the Hospital all night but she did not regain consciousness. Mary Freeman - the colored girl went to the Watertown Church. - Her people were members there - when we were in Watertown. She must have been one of the smaller children - at that time. They were very nice - like Mrs. Carl.

Will close now - and "retire". The "Sextet" send their love. Can you guess what the sixth is? He or she eats mackerel.

Can hardly wait for the ninth.

Mamma.
