A Letter written on Jun 4, 1941

Rev. Dr. William M. Nesbit
15 Frederick Street
Naugatuck, Connecticut

June 4, 1941.

Dear little Girl:

So glad when your letter arrived - to hear that your tooth is easing up - I will be glad when you say "good-bye" to it. Papa says that it is lucky you wrote to-da that your letter didn't come yesterday - as yesterday we were "busted" - but to-day we are able to squeeze $12.50 out.

Everything is going along - as usual. Papa has been calling - all afternoon. Went to see Mrs. Valentine this morning. It sort of broke him up - it seemed so unnecessary. The Police are still after the driver. If you would - Papa and I would very much like to have you send a "sorry your [sic] sick" card to Mrs. Currier. They have been so nice to us -

Mrs. George A. Currier,
121 Aetna St.
Naugatuck.

Papa was there this afternoon - and she knew him - but was delirious. She cannot recover. Had a phone call from Miss Mary Brown - to welcome us back - sent her love to you.

The Sextette are eagerly awaiting Monday -

Love Mom & Pop.
