Rev. Dr. William M. Nesbit
15 Frederick Street
Naugatuck, ConnecticutDear little Girl:
Rec'd your welcome letter this P.M. Evidently you had not rec'd Pop's letter written Monday night - asking about the date of the Prom and the schedule of events connected with it. As soon as Papa knows this he can "feel around" Of course this does not mean for you to discontinue your efforts to get somebody - up there - but he thinks that with you working on it up there - and him feeling around down here - the chances of doing something are doubled.
Tell us how you like the "blind date" as soon as you have investigated him (This is Papa's dictation) DO you think there is any chance of inviting him to the "Prom"? At least he would be in your own crowd.
Papa says he has forgotten what days of the week, it would be best to have him visit the college. He would enjoy it.
The weather here is very bad - they have called off the Ladies Aid 'Tea for to-morrow. Mrs. Valentine can't get her car out of the Garage - and the driving is dangerous. Papa is not driving any more than he absolutely has to. A lot of the cars are frozen in the garages - and can't be budged. Did you read about the bombing in the Pera-Palace? You walked up and down - many times the very steps that the British Ambassador was walking up - when the bombs exploded. They say the lobby was "blown to bits."
Will close now - Pop is waiting to Post this.
Love from the bunch.
