A Letter Written on Mar 11, 1941

March 11, 1941,

Dear Bessie,

I have just returned from the "Thief of Bagdad." There was a lot about magic, including the magic carpet. The colors were gorgous. [sic]

Are you nearly snowbound? We got more than a foot Saturday, a little more Sunday. It started to snow again this afternoon. The trees & bushes are so pretty.

The girls in the Foundry have challenged the Office girls to a bowling match. They have eight bowlers and we have five so we are having a hard time finding more. The men probably have their money placed on the Foundry Girls.

The Dr. Forester of Yale spoke to the G.S. Leaders last night in the first of three lectures on Child Psychology. She is a very lovely person.

After shoveling quite a while Saturday I went skiing and sliding. Was I sore the next morning. I got over that by skiing the next afternoon.

I just got a swell book of Gilbert & Sullivan. I love those silly ditties, but it is practically impossible to get the tunes out of my head.

I'll be seeing you in two or three weeks. Good-bye until then.

Lots of love
Mildred
