Rev. Dr. William M. Nesbit
15 Frederick Street
Naugatuck, Connecticut

Dear little Girl:-

The new Pastor's wife at Naugatuck sends you greeting. Conference was quiet - some changes. Mr. Flandreau was sent to Searingtown on the Island, not very far from Rosylyn - It pays well - one family pays all the bills - and it is a church that men go to and then retire.

Mr. Davis was sent to Ronkonkoma. He was very much upset - and wanted to know if Papa would change with him. The Grays were there - and Mrs. Gray said (told me) the Parsonage was awful. and had one of the old oil stoves to cook on - with just the 3 burners. That was two years ago. It is a circuit with 2 churches - one service at night - and the driving is very bad in the winter so I don't imagine the Davis' will like it. Papa said he was satisfied at Naugatuck and Mr. Davis went away - disappointed. Can you imagine how Mrs. Davis will complain.

Mr. Sinn's church has all gone to pieces. He is very sick and the church is all shot. I was very happy to come back to Naugatuck for your senior year. That was about all the gossip - no fights - or trials - or back-stairs gossip. Most of the pacifists - converted. Aunt Emma gave me $25. to have my teeth fixed and I certainly was pleased. so I will have them tended to - next week.

No news - haven't been anywhere - except to the covered-dish supper - at Mrs. Booth's last night - Epworth League. I took Macaroni and cheese. It was beautiful out there. I don't think we have ever had a more beautiful spring.

Will close now - Ladies Aid and Choir to-morrow

Lots and lots of love.
Mamma.
