Dear little Girl: Papa and I certainly enjoyed your long, newsy letter. It was almost like a visit. Papa saw Dan last night - and he said he is accepting your invitation to the dance and is going to borrow his brother's car. I am enclosing clipping of an accident. These boys were at the Masonic dinner - and they asked Dan to go for a ride afterwards. He said he was too tired and didn't go - His best friend was one of the boys killed - I understand the other one died after this paper was published - but I am not sure. Dan was awfully upset over it. I am glad he didn't go - for he might have been killed too. I bet his mother was thankful. Dan seemed delighted with the invitation.

Will close now - Papa is ready to post it this.

Lots of love
Mamma
