A Letter Written on Jan 6, 1949

Thursday

Dear Bessie,

I wanted to wait until we had changed our address for the fourth time since we've been married. Each time we move, it grows a little more tedious. For the last three months we lived in two furnished rooms with bath. There was no sink or stove, just an electric plate. Last week-end we moved into four rooms which we are furnishing gradually with pieces that we'll enjoy for years. 53 Imlay Street Apt. 4, Hartford will be our address for quite a while to come, we hope.

Alberta's mother died last Friday. The lady had been in a convalesant [sic] home for months and was failing steadily.

Do write and tell us how you, Howard, and Barry are. We both are still working at the Aetna.

Love to all,
Lucy
