Dear Bessie,
I hope that you will forgive me for my seeming lack of common courtsey [sic] but I have been so busy the last few days that I haven't had time to think straight. I have had about 4 or 5 houses to figure and one six family block. I have two houses in the works and the six family block I do not know at present wheather [sic] I can swing it or not. It's not a good idea to bite off more than you can chew especially at the beginning.
Last week I was going to call you up and every night seemed to be chucked full with mason's or plumbers etc. that tomorrow always seemed a better day but as you know tomorrow never came.
I do hope that you are having good luck with your studies and that book reports, exams etc etc. do not get you down. You don't realize how easy you people have it in College, just wait untill [sic] you graduate and start in for yourself.
Saw Dad at Stamp Club the other day and he was looking well and happy as ever. He stated that he had purchased a new car and kind of thought the old one was going to cost more to repair than to buy a new one.
The next vacation I suppose will be Easter and we will just have to get together sometime during that vacation and go out on a (splurge) how do you say it?
I can't seem to be able to write quite as smooth and easy reading as I receive but I hope you will excuse me and forgive this terrible handwriting.
Best wishes & good luck.
Your friend,
Dan.
