A Letter Written around Mar 18, 1907

My dear Jennie;

Yes the seal you have before you is a fraternity seal. Thought you knew I had ridden the Sigma Nu goat sometime ago.

You spoke as if you were some what surprised or rather as if you would be surprised if it were a frat seal. I thought it was the greatest honor and opportunity which has come to me during my collegiate career with one possible exception. Old Sigma Nu is one of the gradest in existence, Has several chapters up in that part of the world, One at Cornell, Syracuse, Univ of Vt. etc, fifty-six chapters in all.

Now don't say I have done wrong but reserve a little place in your heart for Sigma Nu.

Am glad you enjoyed the "little whiff of Spring" was rather reluctant to send it, lest it should create a real anxiety in you for a trip home.

The little things are beginning to bloom beautifully now. Even the trees are budding. Don't anticipate any more snow.

Where did you learn of my "gym history"? You have an erroneous impression.

Exams begin Tuesday and last for ten days. Have got to do some scratching to make up for the time I loafed away in the gym.

Am so sleepy it is impossible to guide my pen much less think so please excuse this scribbling and loose flow of words, good night.

Sincerely
Howard.
