My dear Miss Olcott:-

I am sorry to say that I shall be out of New England during the month of January, and I fear that in any case I could not have the pleasure of coming to Mount Holyoke College during the next few months, as my time is so fully occupied.

I regret sincerely that I cannot accept your very pleasant invitation.
