A Letter Written on Dec 13, 1906

My dear Jennie:-

Who's time is it to write? I will be a good girl and write you a short letter.

There is not a thing doing around here to tell you about.

Are you ready for xmas? Well I am not, but hope to be before long.

Jennie Maude wrote to Ella and invited her to come up xmas. I want you to come along, do you hear? We are counting on one big time. I am going to invite Cecelia and Louise Miller down from Stephen City, and I have invited two girls from Maryland, & also wrote to Tom Doran to come up. You know if everyone comes we are sure to have some fun[.]

We sure did have one grand big time here Thanksgiving. Hubert Nichols was here from Londoun, Alexander Campbell from N. Carolina, Margaret Cast[...] from South Eail [?] Virginia and Elvira Miller from Winchester. Gee! we sure did have one big time.

We made fudge and did all sorts of stunts.

Jane I may send you your xmas. present a day or so early. I know you will be awfully glad to get home and see all of them once more.

Howard and Dick came home the 22nd. You know John had to come home thanksgiving on account of his eye. He is going back after Xmas.

I guess Margaret Plant will be glad to have Will Backus back again.

Well dear I will ask you to please excuse me from a long letter for I do not feel at all well.

Write when ever you can I am always glad to hear from you. "Much heap" love to you from

Your devoted friend
Ada
