1913My dear Miss Turner:
Please make a simple line drawing to illustrate the phrenic origins. It will be best to divide the work into two papers. One by yourself entitled "Remarks on the physiological anatomy of the phrenic nerve", and a second paper by us both entitled perhaps: "Crossed respiration is not due to afferent fibres in the phrenic nerve". If possible, suggest a better title than this. Please send me in a day or two a rough draft of your illustration for the first paper. They should appear July 1, consecutively in the same number of the journal, or still better, the anatomical paper in the
MayJune number and the other in July. This means that the first paper must be complete May 1.As I have two other papers to put through before I leave May 19, it is my intention to have yours about finished by Monday next.
Please accept my compliments on your notes. They are admirable.
Yours faithfully
W. T. Porter
