Sunday A.M.

Lady dear,

I hope you're better this minute. Don't tear around for a while. Grippe saps the vitality even in a few days as much as a major operation.

It was a poor visit I had with you so far as time is concerned, but better than than nothing. I had a thrilling time tho' every minute was packed. Next time I shall be more leisurely I hope. There seemed to be no escape from it this trip. Had a delightful trip to NYC with the President. She was her own inimitable self - humble in spirit and broad in vision. She spoke once of the mental hygiene situation at College, & said that sometime she wanted to talk to me about it. I told her Dean Allyn had talked with me at some length Friday, & Miss Woolley said, "I'll get it from her." The Lady seemed tired, but sat up till 12.30 Fri. night working on a speech for Sat. here in N.Y.C. One thing I've got out [of] the visit, & that is complete disillusionment concerning any ideas I might [have] about being at all busy! After knowing something of Miss Woolley's life & daily program I consider myself a lady of leisure. Well, I turn to a little work today in preparation for the morrow.

I love you,
Esther
