Lady dear,
Your cards from Europe were much appreciated. They sounded as if you were having a real good time. You are one of the few people who seem to me to enjoy life to the fullest. It is a great gift. As you gave no mailing address I couldn't write you. I have just written Margaret of the sad prospect of my [not?] seeing much of you & her while I'm at College in Nov. She'll explain why. I do hope you & she can work out some arrangement with Ann who as chairman of the committee sponsoring these lectures seems to be hostess to speakers. The prospect of a week end there is ruined by that Educational Policies Committee which meets in N.Y.C. all day Nov. 12th. It was the only date all the Committee could agree on. I want to see you & talk about so many things. The year has been full of patients & teaching & welfare committee work & some speaking & writing. And this year promises to be even fuller. I was here all summer till Aug. 15th & then went away for 5 weeks. Robert has been with me in the mts - at least Mrs. Howard [?] was there - all summer. He enters the Army flying school in Texas next week.
I hope you are well & operations are things of the past.
I love you,
Esther
