Lady dear,

It seems years since I've heard or seen you, but the fault is mine. I cut out Boston, & College in Sept. because I got that epidemic cold & took to my bed on Cape Cod. It seemed easier not to spray bugs around, & also to get my throat cleared for 6 lectures in 2 days in northern N.Y. Oct. 2 & 3rd. The fall has been full to bursting. Oct. 28 to 31st I spoke 3 times in Chicago & N.Y.C. Early in Oct. I began a course of lectures every Thurs. to 300 teachers, nurses, social workers & parents & they continue till Feb. 13th. This A.M. I got in from St. Louis at 3.30 when I spoke at P.H. things twice yesterday. Monday I speak in N.Y.C. to nurses, & Tues. I begin 3 lectures on successive Tues. in Brooklyn as part of a program the National Committee is putting [on] to open a Mental Hygiene Clinic in the Borough of Brooklyn. Yes, I'm still teaching & seeing patients, & trying to live. That's my history to date. I speak at the Holyoke Women's Club Jan. 3rd. & in Springfield Mass. Jan. 6th. Are you going to be at College around New Year's?

How are you? And how is the back? I saw Miss Woolley in Committee Meeting Oct. 31st in N.Y.C. She looks well. How is Margaret Ball? I hope you still love me in spite of all my disultory activities of friendship.

My dear love is yours as ever,

Esther
