A Letter written on Sep 8, 1922

Canadian Pacific

On board "Montcalm"

Sept. 8

Honey dear :-

We are on board as you see and I have a letter from you, not yet read, but I want to get this off. The boat seems very pleasant. The trunk has turned up, and we know the packages and suitcases are in the hands of the C.P. I bought some dishes in Liverpool, and time will tell how I get on with the box! It's big and heavy, from packing rather than dishes! I hope you'll like the gloves I bought you and that they'll fit. My own sizes are not constant so I've just guessed for you.

The boat seems big - yet it is scarcely larger than our other, a thousand tons, maybe.

Love to you - I'll mail this now - and hunt our steamer chairs.

Abby

The Celtic sails tomorrow with mail so I expect you'll get this sooner than I see you.

It's a bright, cheerful day!
