A Letter Written on Apr 4, 1900

Mount Holyoke Alumnae Association.

My dear Mrs. Walton:-

Surely the New York and Brooklyn Alumnae have given us one more evidence of their constant and generous interest in the welfare of the College. I felt like a small child with a fine, very fine, new doll when your letter with its check for the Classical School reached us. I shall write Mrs. Barry, and I hope you will tell the other members of the executive board, as you happen to meet them, how much we appreciate their generous action for this object. It will be a great satisfaction for the Athens fund can be definitely and regularly pledged, so that the incoming treasurer may have no anxiety regarding the completion of the sum.

Very gratefully yours,
Sarah E. Smith.
