My dearest dear:-

I must just tell you how dreadfully sorry I was to have you go away - aren't you surprised!! But I am so glad that you came - you always do me so much good & I do believe that you helped every body here who saw you. They satisfy even me in their expressions of love & admiration! Aren't you terribly sot up?

I hope that you did not get too tired dearie - you are a dear, dear woman & I love you so much.

Miss Hawley s'd that her ticket was only a dollar - there must have b'n some mistake about yours.

It is such a comfort to think that you are so near, so that if I sh'd happen to be taken ill in the night you c'd run for the hot water bag.

Kiss yourself in the glass for me ten thousand times - you may be curling your back hair at the same time.

Good bye, darling mine,
Josephine -
