July 26th, 1934.

Dear Miss Turner:

This serves to introduce to you our little friend Barbara Yen. [MHC 1938] Kindly be her adviser in all matters during her years at Mount Holyoke College. I am sure that you would find Barbara a very fine girl in everyway. She is good in her scholarship as well as in her character.

This little gift brings you my personal love. Barbara would be able to tell you about my work and my girls. I have been a family physician to this family eversince [sic] their home at Tientsin. In making this silk for dress the right side is folded inside. The right and wrong sides both look quite alike only there is a difference in smoothness. I hope that you like my selection. How happy I would be when your little namesake would be ready for college. So far she seems to be a promising child in her years. With love from all of us three.

Yours lovingly.
Me-iung Ting.
