May 26, 1924Dr. E. A. Boyden,
Harvard Medical School,
Boston, Mass.Dear Dr. Boyden:-
As you may know I have been in correspondence with various persons around the Medical School and at Radciffe since I saw you in April.
I still desire to spend next year in study and the best plan seems to be to work in Dr. Drinker's laboratory. If it is possible I should like to have this continue my previous work toward the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. I do not know exactly where the investigations which Radcliffe has been conducting into my past have led, since I have not heard from the office there for a long time, but I am still hopeful that the matters involved may be those of the surface of things rather than the fundamentals. Since the end of the year is near, it has seemed to me best to write to you and to ask you to have the matter brought before the Division of Medical Sciences if that is necessary and for such action as is necessary, I shall send a copy of this to Dr. Drinker and ask him to give you whatever statement of the plans for the work may be desired at this time.
Very truly yours,
