Jan. 25, 1917. [but was really written in 1918, as the fire was Dec 22, 1917]Dear Aunt Abby,
Miss Chase wrote me about Wiliston. [sic] I have written several notes to Dr. Clapp since, as I realize that the burning meant more to her than to anyone else.
I will send you the few reprints as a nucleus. E is starting the nerve slides. He will send too a catalogue of lantern slides that came recently. He made many of his, and now the photographic dept. of the Univ. is very good and makes him anything he wishes. We will send you the blue prints of the nervous system[.] I may have a few slides that you could use. If you use Foster & Balfour's old embryology for anything I can send you an old copy as I suppose they would be difficult to obtain. I have no new books to offer, as the library appropriation is ample for our needs. Anything that you know I have you are welcome to have to use[.]
Hastily
Emma
