Dearest Folks -

Didn't for some reason get this written yesterday & so here goes, the 1st thing this morning[.] Just came home from chapel. Miss Woolley told us this morning about the Inauguration of the Pres. of Dartmouth. Its interesting to hear about all these different ones that she is attending. Pres. Lowell of Harvard last week you know & there are three more this month.

Fred came over last night. Seemed awfully good to see him. Went to Vespers & visited after. Prof. Tweedy from Yale preached yesterday. Very good. Had a grand glorious time Mt. Day. Went to the Orient. Stopped in Amherst & got an ice-cream. Weren't we bad?

How is your cut Daddy-man? Hope it wasn't a very bad one, and is most well by now.

What's the matter that you are having so many fires? Two barns in so short a time. Was Churchill's insured much. Haven't you gotten any walnuts? Tell Clayt he's a pill if he hasn't taken time to go off with you to get some. Bertha really shouldn't take so much of his time. Tell Harry that he forgot to send me a postal on my birthday & so I want a letter now. Will probably write more later in the week. Must grind now. With lots of love

Peg.
