Rah! Rah! Rah! Rah! for Welles Holyoke '07, and Captain of the Holyoke baseball nine!!!!!!!!!!! I have been proud of my smart cousin Ruth but migh! my head goes up to [sic] inches higher since yesterday, when I heard the grand news through Mande. I tell you Ruth, you are all right. Now I know that the instructions of your old maid cousin concerning study were not said for nought. [sic] Do write, and tell me all about the team &c. &c.

Did you have a May day celebration? The Seniors gave an entertainment which I did not attend but I remained in my room to enjoy the contents of a box from home. In the afternoon a senior and I were invited to the Wellesley celebration, but just before starting we learn that the event was postponed until Tues., on account of the weather. Now we are looking forward to that day.

Five girls including myself are taking experiment work cooking now, by that I mean we cook our breakfast and dinners (at night) four days in the week for six weeks. We take turns being breakfast cook, waitress, dinner cook &c. I was hostess last week. If you had only been nearer I would have given you an invite to dine here. what good times we'll have this summer talking about - well everything.

Last Mon. we visited new Boston; Museum, Capitol (the Senate & House were in session) Library, Court House &c. It was an interesting trip but I think the one to Cambridge this Mon. will be even more so (cemeteries & Harvard U. included[)]. The church bell is ringing so ta, tah,

Mabel.
