Crest View

[Morgan Street]

History

I have several postcards of this house. One of them bears an inscription that implies this house is on Morgan Street. The third card revealed enough clues to identify it as Miss Stevens' residence on Morgan St. I have since found out from the February 1935 issue of the Alumnae Quarterly that Clara Stevens built this house in 1904 and named it Crest View. She lived here with her sister until 1930, when the property was sold to the College.

Trolley to Worcester is 2 1/2 hrs. I think not over 3, and 3 1/2 to Springfield: 1 1/2 to S. Hadley. Quite a hard trip! The first part is most interest. Thanks for the news of the wedding. I sent the clipping to J. J. With love E. P. C. My home for the last two years."
