Pearsons Hall

[Pearsons Hall]

History

After the Seminary Building burned to the ground in 1896, four dormitories were built in 1897 to house the students that were formerly housed in the Seminary Building. Pearsons Hall was one of them. It was named for Dr. Pearsons, a Chicopee physician and Chicago real estate magnated who admired Mary Lyon's work. Dr. Pearsons not only donated money, but also founded the endowment fund.
