The Cabinet Card Photos
History
Cabinet cards are approximately 4.25"x6.5" in size, and are mounted on heavy cardboard, similar to stereoviews. This format was mostly used for studio portraits.

All cabinet photos are available with front scans, and comments about what is written on the front or back, either by the user or by the publisher, are included below.

- President McKinley, 1899
- front "President McKinley and Wife and Party at Mt Holyoke College, June 20, 1899." Copyright 1899, by John B. Sutcliffe. President McKinley's niece Grace was graduating, and he and his wife were going to the celebration. This is the one and only time a sitting president visited Mount Holyoke.

- Anna Gordon
- front Three women. Inscription on the back: "Anna A Gordon / Mary T. Hill Willard / Frances E. Willard" Frances Willard was president of the World's Woman's Christian Temperance Union, Mary Willard was Frances' mother, and Anna Gordon was Frances' secretary.

- front A cabinet card portrait of a baby. Inscription on the reverse: "Louise E. Carlton" The seller stated the photograph was bought at an antique store in St Johnsbury, VT, as part of a small group of family photos depicting Luther Carlton (West Gardner, MA photography studio), Herbert E. Carlton, and Louise Hassam (Northfield, VT photography studio). Louise's father was Herbert E. Carlton.
