History
These photos weren't part of an album, and they weren't postcards, but just photos that were found by themselves. If they were found as a group, it is noted here.

- The Bridge by the Pump House

- Two Cyanotypes

- Williston Hall Cyanotype
- front A view of Williston Hall and the tennis nets set up on its front lawn. On the back is the inscription: "Mount Holyoke College - Lyman Williston Hall"
- South Hadley Falls Church
- front A view of the church, and a glimpse of the home next door. On the back is the inscription: "So Hadley. Falls. church Mass." This is the United Methodist Church on 30 Carew St.
- Graduation portrait, 1899
- front A handpainted frame, with a cyanotype of Mary Lyon Hall, surrounds a graduation portrait. Inscription on the back: "Fanny Dean Mrs. Chas. E. French Mt Holyoke College Class of '99"

- The 1894 Church Fire
- front The village church, built in 1875, burned down in 1894. This photo is during the fire. Inscriptions on the back: "Cong Church at So Hadley. Mass" and "Christmas Present from Edna"

- front A CDV portrait of Harriet Newell Haskell. Photographer marking by A. J. Fox of St. Louise on the back. Her name is inscribed on the back with the date Apr. 1872; I have her autograph in an autograph album in my collection, and it appears to be her handwriting on the back of the photo.
- Ella W. Lyman
- front On the reverse, this photo is identified as Ella W. Lyman of South Hadley, Mass. The photographer is Ingraham Bros. of Northampton.

- photo #1 These seven photos were purchased as a lot, and are scanned slightly larger than normal to show detail. Two women are seated under the trees near the pump house and bridge. Bolton farm visible in the background.
- photo #2 Looking south on College Street. The Seminary building is on the left. The building in front of it on the left is a private home.
- photo #3 I believe this is Lower Lake, looking south from the pump house bridge.
- photo #4 Pump house and bridge.
- photo #5 Pump house and bridge. Fencing from the Bolton farm is visible in the background.

- Huguenot Seminary
- front Inscription on the back: "Huguenot Seminary Wellington Cape Colony S. Africa" Huguenot Seminary was founded in 1874 and modeled after Mount Holyoke, and several Mount Holyoke alums served as faculty and administrators there.

- front A large albumen of a white woman in a group of dark-skinned people. Inked inscription on the reverse: "Famine children in charge of Mrs. R. A. Hume, Ahmednagar, India. Congregational." The white woman is identified as Mrs. Hume. One of the children is identified: "74 Chandra Kanhoba age 11" The name "Mary Burnside" is inscribed in red crayon.

Inscription on the back: "Lura Newhall daughter of Cyrus Newhall. & step-daughter of Maria (Perry) Newhall" [The student list in the 1864 catalog lists Lura's hometown as Hinsdale NH, and a search for Lura on familysearch.org confirms the hometown and her father's name was Cyrus.]
