[Typewritten Letter]
Copy of a letter which I am reading to the
Martha Club Monday night. Written when I was 6 yrs.

West Brookfield March 9.
Dear Frankie:
I thought I would write you a letter.
Please tell me in your letter if you have a dog?
Will you ask Aunt Ellen if she will let you come
and see me some time? I have not a dog. I am a
fraid of dogs. Are you? I have two dolls with
one eye. And five dolls with two eyes. I have a
trunk for dolls things. Have you any snow? I have
got fifity two cents have you? I have got a
blackboard. I like to read and write and spell.
Do you go to school? I have a dolls bed? And a
fish pond. My birthday will be the fourteenth of
April when is yours? I do patchwork. I will write
the months of the year and you can see if they
are right. Helen Shackley.
