Dear Mama & Papa,

Greetings! Thanks ever so much for: the stocking[s] which arrived and are fine; the check with which I paid the Lab. fee; and the books. I am sorry I didn't have time to write you over the week end. Friday afternoon I went to a meeting of the Classical Club. They had a speaker who told about finding an underground well under the Acropolis with stairs leading down to it. Saturday evening I went to a college fair which was swell. The students & alumnae worked together. It was a lot of fun. Louise Wescott's sister Nancy who is at Welesley [sic] was there & it was nice to see her.

Friday night I went to Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. It was wonderful. You shouldn't miss it. Sunday morning the president of Wheaton College gave a very good sermon. He said one should never expect miracles to happen to one's self but should make them happen to other people. Saturday morning Sylvia De Santis & I played Badminton in the gym. It was lots of fun. My medicine arrived O.K. I don't remember whether I had told you about it or not. Whenever you have a few spare minutes, I could use some Deodo & some Kleenex.

The weather has been very funny here for the last few day[s]. It can't seem to decide whether it wants to be spring or winter. Our marks will probably come out some time this week. I received a very fancy valentine from my Ladies Aid Friend. I am going over to the Libe & do my Myth. now.

Lotions of love,
Bessie.
