Abby Turner 1896 wrote to her mother, Emeline Cogswell Turner 1855, when she was traveling. Abby spent the summer in Maine and New Hampshire.

Tomorrow over the top to Dublin and probably on Friday to Warren, though it may be Saturday. We have a place in Dublin. Love - Abby"

back "Tues. morning. We are on the top of Mount Moosilauke. The day yesterday when we came up was wonderful, with a good sunset and a beautiful sunrise at about 4 A.M. I saw it! We could see Monadnock - and indeed all the mountains they ever see yesterday. We shall get to North Woodstock tomorrow (Wed.) I think and be around here until Sat. Shall spend Sat. night with Jessee I think and get home Sunday P.M. Love - Abby -"
