Letters

[Carrie]

History

Carrie is out of the hospital by the beginning of the year, but she does not return to Mount Holyoke in the spring. She does not return to Mount Holyoke in the fall, either, though it looked like over the spring and summer she was hopeful that she would be well enough to attend. She kept in touch with all her friends regularly at least up until the fall; there is a gap after October where there were no letters coming in. Just before Christmas, Carrie lapses into a diabetic coma and passes away.
